Handel and Haydn Society Selects True Tickets to Enhance Its Digital Ticketing Experience
BOSTON (August 13, 2026) — True Tickets and the Handel and Haydn Society (H+H), America’s oldest continuously performing arts organization, today announced a new partnership that will streamline and enhance the ticketing experience for patrons and staff. H+H will use True Tickets’ ticket lifecycle solution to support secure digital ticket delivery, ticket sharing, in-ticket engagement, and event entry through a deep Tessitura integration.
As H+H prepares to open its 212th season at Symphony Hall on October 2nd, the organization will implement True Tickets to provide patrons with a secure, accessible digital ticketing experience. With True Tickets, concert goers receive secure digital tickets delivered directly to a branded digital wallet, making tickets easy to access, share, and manage. Dynamic QR codes help protect against fraud and unauthorized ticket use, while password-less login and contactless entry create a smooth experience at the concert hall.
Behind the scenes, True Tickets supports H+H’s ability to communicate with patrons and build stronger audience relationships. Every verified ticket share is captured through True Tickets’ deep Tessitura integration, helping the H+H team identify and engage its shadow audience (patrons who attend on shared tickets and were previously unknown to the organization).
Founded in 1815, H+H has introduced generations of audiences to Baroque and Classical music through historically informed performances and remains a cornerstone of Boston’s cultural community. The partnership reflects H+H’s continued commitment to delivering an exceptional patron experience while building lasting relationships with audiences.
“H+H has spent more than two centuries connecting audiences with extraordinary performances while continually finding new ways to serve its community,” said Ken Lesnik, Head of Business Development at True Tickets. “We’re honored to support this legacy by helping H+H deliver a seamless ticketing experience while giving its team deeper insight into the audiences they welcome through their doors. It’s about strengthening the relationships that ensure this remarkable institution continues to thrive for generations to come.”
"H+H has inspired, touched, and connected audiences through live performances of Classical and Baroque music for over 200 years," said Sarah Manoog, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Handel and Haydn Society. "H+H is more than the music; we are a community. Our new partnership with True Tickets will provide a simple and streamlined ticking process, allow more personalized interactions with concert goers, and help our team welcome more people to enjoy the H+H experience."
True Tickets is the post-purchase ticket infrastructure layer for Tessitura, making the ticket lifecycle after the initial sale visible, traceable, and actionable for arts and cultural organizations. That visibility will give H+H a clearer picture of how audiences move through its performances, from the original ticket purchase to the guests in each seat, so the organization can tailor its outreach, deepen loyalty, and better serve the community that experiences their music.
About Handel and Haydn Society
Boston’s Grammy-winning Handel and Haydn Society performs Baroque and Classical music with a freshness, a vitality, and a creativity that inspires all ages. Called “one of the most exciting ensembles of historically informed performances in the world” (OperaWire), H+H is in its 212th consecutive season of captivating audiences (the most of any performing arts organization in the United States), speaking to its singular success at welcoming new people to this extraordinary music, generation after generation.
H+H performed the “Hallelujah” chorus from Handel’s Messiah in its first concert in 1815, gave the American premiere in 1818, and ever since has been both a musical and a civic leader in the Boston community. During the Civil War, H+H gave numerous concerts in support of the Union Army (H+H member Julia Ward Howe wrote “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”) and on January 1, 1863, H+H performed at the Grand Jubilee Concert celebrating the enactment of the Emancipation Proclamation. All are welcome to celebrate freedom at H+H’s free Emancipation Proclamation Concert held annually on New Year’s Eve in partnership with the Museum of African American History.
H+H’s Orchestra and Chorus delight more than 76,000 listeners annually through concerts at Symphony Hall and other leading venues as well as radio broadcasts. Through the Karen S. and George D. Levy Learning and Education Program, H+H supports eight youth choirs of singers in grades 2–12 and provides thousands of complimentary tickets to students and communities throughout Boston, ensuring the joy of music is accessible to all. H+H provides deeply discounted tickets and hosts special events for undergraduate students and concertgoers under 40 through the H+H Masterpass and H² membership programs. H+H has released 16 CDs on the CORO label and has toured nationally and internationally. In all these ways, H+H fulfills its mission to inspire the intellect, touch the heart, elevate the soul, and connect all of us with our shared humanity through transformative experiences with Baroque and Classical music.
